Beyond the Health Hub

Outside of physiotherapy, Kit has always been active and involved in sport. He played rugby for a number of years and still regularly skis, having first taken to the slopes at a young age.

Having experienced knee and shoulder injuries himself, including ACL reconstruction and other surgery, Kit also understands rehabilitation from the patient’s side. He successfully returned to both rugby and skiing following surgery and rehab.

These days, his own training is centred around strength work, recreational running and cycling, with the occasional venture into strongman competitions.

Away from clinic, family life keeps him just as busy. Kit and Amy have two young children, and Kit now coaches their oldest daughter at rugby while their youngest is currently happier watching from the sidelines.

As a family they enjoy walking, spending time outdoors with their sheep and chickens, and getting stuck into practical projects. Kit and Amy also recently built their own home, completing a large amount of the work themselves.

Skiing remains a big part of Kit’s life too, and it is slowly becoming a family activity, with Amy also skiing and their oldest already having enjoyed time on the slopes.
