ABOUT THIS SERVICE
Home visit physiotherapy brings the same assessment-led approach used at JaDex into your own home. It can be particularly useful if mobility, pain, recovery from surgery or injury, transport or other circumstances make attending the clinic difficult. Your appointment can include assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and practical advice based around your individual needs and home environment. Where clinically appropriate, selected injection medicine services may also be possible as a home visit following the required assessment and discussion of suitability.
WHO IS IT FOR?
________
Home Visit Physiotherapy may be suitable for people who would benefit from physiotherapy but find attending the clinic difficult or impractical. This may include people with reduced mobility, those recovering from surgery or injury, older adults, people whose symptoms make travelling difficult, or those who would benefit from assessment and rehabilitation within their own home environment.
Home visits may also be appropriate for selected patients requiring injection medicine where treatment at home is clinically suitable and can be safely arranged.
________
BENEFITS & GOALS
Access physiotherapy when attending the clinic is difficult; receive assessment, treatment and rehabilitation in your own home; improve movement, strength and confidence; make rehabilitation relevant to everyday activities and your home environment; support recovery following injury or surgery; maintain mobility and independence; access selected injection medicine services at home where clinically appropriate.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
We will arrange a suitable time and location with you before your visit. Your physiotherapy appointment follows the same assessment-led approach as a clinic appointment, including discussion of your symptoms and goals followed by an appropriate physical assessment. Treatment, advice and rehabilitation can then be tailored to both your needs and your home environment. If you are enquiring about an injection, the appropriate assessment and injection pathway will be explained before treatment is arranged.
