ABOUT THIS SERVICE

Pneumatic compression boots offer a comfortable, relaxing way to give your legs some dedicated attention, whether you're recovering from exercise, spending long hours on your feet or experiencing tired, heavy or aching legs.

The boots use gentle, rhythmic air pressure to compress and release different areas of the legs, helping encourage the movement of fluid and supporting circulation.

For active individuals and athletes, compression boots can be incorporated into recovery routines following training, competitions or physically demanding events.

They may also be beneficial for selected individuals experiencing leg swelling, fluid retention or discomfort associated with varicose veins, where compression is appropriate. They can also complement rehabilitation following certain injuries, helping manage swelling as part of a wider treatment plan.

At JaDex Health Hub, compression sessions can be enjoyed as a standalone recovery experience or alongside other physiotherapy, massage and wellbeing services.

As compression isn't suitable for everyone, we'll check for relevant health conditions and ensure the treatment is appropriate before your session.

WHO IS IT FOR?

________

Suitable for anyone looking to ease tired, heavy or aching legs, whether from everyday activities, spending long periods on their feet, physically demanding work or exercise.

Compression boots are also popular with recreational exercisers and athletes seeking a relaxing recovery session following training or competition.

They may also be suitable for people experiencing certain types of leg swelling, including swelling following injury or discomfort associated with varicose veins, where compression has been assessed as appropriate.

Sessions can be tailored to the upper or lower limbs, depending on individual needs and suitability.

________

BENEFITS & GOALS

Provide dedicated time for relaxation and recovery; help relieve feelings of tired, heavy or aching legs; encourage fluid movement and support the management of certain types of swelling where clinically appropriate; support comfort following prolonged standing, physical activity or exercise; offer a convenient, passive recovery option for recreational exercisers and athletes; complement injury rehabilitation, training routines and wider health and wellbeing services.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Before your session, we'll check that pneumatic compression is suitable for you, including discussing any relevant health conditions, injuries or swelling.

You'll then be made comfortable with the compression boots or arm sleeves fitted to the area being treated. The system uses controlled, rhythmic air pressure to gently inflate and deflate different sections, creating a wave-like compression sensation.

The pressure can be adjusted to suit your comfort and individual needs, allowing you to sit back and relax while the system works.

Sessions can be enjoyed as a standalone recovery experience or alongside other suitable treatments at JaDex Health Hub.

If you're using compression to help manage swelling following an injury or for a particular health concern, we'll provide appropriate guidance on how it may fit into your wider management or rehabilitation plan.
