Taping

Supportive taping used where appropriate to help movement, sport or short-term symptom management.

Included in Physiotherapy

ABOUT THIS SERVICE

Taping can provide useful short-term support during rehabilitation, training or competition. At JaDex it is used selectively to help with symptoms, confidence or return to activity, while recognising that taping does not replace appropriate assessment and rehabilitation when an underlying problem needs addressing.

WHO IS IT FOR?

________

People who may benefit from temporary support during daily activity, rehabilitation, training or sporting events.

________

BENEFITS & GOALS

Provide short-term support; help manage symptoms during activity; improve confidence with movement; complement rehabilitation, training or return-to-sport progression.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

We will first discuss what you are hoping to achieve with taping and check that it is appropriate. Your skin is checked before the selected taping technique is applied. You will also be given advice about how long to wear the tape, what to look out for and when it should be removed.
