HOW CAN WE HELP?

AC Joint Pain

Pain around the joint at the top of the shoulder, often aggravated by pressing, lifting or reaching across the body.

________

WHAT IS IT?

The acromioclavicular joint sits at the top of the shoulder where the collarbone meets the shoulder blade. It can become painful after injury, repeated loading or degenerative change.

________

COMMON SYMPTOMS

Pain on top of the shoulder; tenderness at the AC joint; pain with bench press, overhead work or reaching across the body; discomfort lying on that side.

________

HOW JADEX CAN HELP

Assessment helps distinguish AC joint pain from rotator-cuff or other shoulder problems. Management may include load modification, rehabilitation and, in selected cases, injection medicine.
